WebDAD is a cloud-based solution, part of ENCO’s enCloud family, that allows broadcasters to take native control of their station from any networked location
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — “When paired with other technologies and applications in our enCloud suite, broadcasters can truly make the world their studio.”
That’s the promise from ENCO about its second-generation WebDAD, to be shown at NAB Show in April.
WebDAD is a cloud-based solution, part of ENCO’s enCloud family, that allows broadcasters to take native control of their station from any networked location. The manufacturer says it provides users with a fully virtualized platform to remotely access and control studio-based ENCO DAD radio automation systems.
Its user interface now has been redesigned and optimized through an HTML5 architecture; thus, ENCO says, broadcasters are no longer limited to specific web browsers, enabling native-level control from any workstation or mobile device.
President Ken Frommert said the first iteration introduced the ability to manage and drive on-air presentation, playlist manipulation, voice tracking, and other critical production tasks. “With our HTML5-based re-design, WebDAD becomes the most powerful and comprehensive browser-based interface yet, giving broadcasters and production teams a direct line to DAD and complete control of the one-air interface over IP via any standard web browser.”
ENCO said this offering helps stations and networks quickly establish a decentralized work force.
Sync Harmony manages radio programming playout
NEW YORK — Sync Harmony is a new hardware + distributed computing platform that manages radio programming playout.
According to the announcement, Sync Harmony “utilizes a distributed computing platform to provide centralized command and control along with on-site, custom-manufactured hardware to deliver a unique play out solution for radio stations and streaming broadcasters.”
Sync Harmony is the result of a collaboration between Gen Media Partners and Synchronicity.co , according to the announcement. Sync Harmony’s technology is also now integrated with Synchronicity’s SyncHD media management platform, which creates “centralized command and control, but also utilizes connected devices for instantaneous delivery that populates throughout the system and generates real-time reports.”
Also, Michael Dalfonzo has been tasked with introducing Sync Harmony as vice president of business development. He most recently was with WideOrbit as director of sales for streaming and on demand. He also had stints with Abacast and RCS.
Sync Harmony will be on display at NAB Show in a suite at the Westgate Hotel.
